Man turns into ‘Kutta’ to correct govt blunder—literally barks for justice! Watch Viral Video
PTC Web Desk: What do you do when the government calls you a "dog" on an official document? If you're Srikant Kumar Dutta from Bankura, West Bengal, you become one—at least temporarily. In a case that’s equal parts hilarious and frustrating, Dutta’s surname was misspelled on his ration card as "Kutta" (which means dog in Hindi), thanks to a typo that slipped through government hands. And no, this wasn't just a minor spelling goof—it changed his entire identity!
Infuriated after ration card mentioned surname as 'kutta' instead of 'Dutta', the man continued to bark at officer. #Viralvideo pic.twitter.com/zs5ov87jsR

When Dutta reached out to officials to get the error fixed, his pleas were met with the classic Indian bureaucratic superpower: complete ignorance. But instead of filing endless applications or waiting in long queues, he decided to take a more… vocal route. A now-viral video from 2022 shows the aggrieved Dutta running beside the government officer’s car, barking loudly like a dog. Yep, woof woof justice in action. Bystanders were left stunned, while the internet can’t seem to stop wagging its tail over the bizarre protest.
And guess what? It worked! Embarrassed and probably terrified of being barked at again, the official reportedly ordered an immediate correction of the name on the ration card. Talk about putting the "ruff" in bureaucracy.
The video has resurfaced online, prompting a flood of witty memes, jokes, and applause for Dutta’s out-of-the-box (or should we say out-of-the-kennel) protest.
