Two Sikh girls 'forcibly converted' to different religion in Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir: In a piece of shocking news, two Sikh girls were allegedly kidnapped at gunpoint, forcibly converted, and wedded to elderly men of a different religion in Srinagar.

Furthermore, he appealed to the Centre to take action into the matter. Likewise, he led a protest against the alleged forced conversion and wedding of Sikh girls in Jammu and Kashmir.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa also said that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured him about the safety of minority Sikh girls in the Valley and that the girls would be soon returned to their families.
Amit Shah has given time to meet Jammu and Kashmir Sikh delegation soon to discuss the minority’s concerns, he said.
Meanwhile, the Sri Akal Takhat Sahib officiating Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh wrote a letter to the L-G. The letter stated that “Through this letter, I would like to apprise you about the repeated incidents of kidnapping of Sikh girls in Jammu and Kashmir and their forceful religion conversion and marrying them with Muslim men.”
“Recently, a Sikh girl has been kidnapped on gunpoint and forcefully converted into Muslim religion and married to an old man. In the last month, 4 Sikhs have been kidnapped and forcefully converted. There is a strong outrage among Sikh Community worldwide on such repeated incidents,” the letter added.
