UK Home Secretary clears Vijay Mallya's extradition
In a major development, United Kingdom (UK) Home Secretary , Sajid Javid signed the extradition of fugitive economic offender Vijay Mallya.

According to sources, the procedure to bring Vijay Mallya back to India may take at least 7-8 months.
The Magistrate Court of Westminster had ordered Vijay Mallya extradition to India on December 9, last year. Meanwhile, Vijay Mallya is expected to move to UK High Court to appeal against the extradition. Mallya has 14 days to appeal against the extradition in UK High Court.
