Vichar Taqrar: News flash! The Election Commission of India (ECI) has postponed polling for the Punjab Assembly elections 2022 from February 14 to February 20. With the political atmosphere heating up across Punjab, political leaders are switching from one party to another. PTC News' popular debate Vichar Taqrar's January 18 episode, hosted by Editor Harpreet Singh, deliberated upon several issues, including the deferral of the Punjab elections, its takeaways, and the current situation in poll-bound Punjab.

publive-image Arshdeep Singh Kaler On Ashu Bangar's exit despite being given a ticket from Ferozepur rural, AAP's Amardeep Singh, during Vichar Taqrar, said he was an opportunist and there was no place for such a leader in the party. He said Ashu might have thought he would win if he contested as a Congress' candidate. He also hailed the EC's decision to postpone the polls, but at the same time questioned the commission over the schedule. "The EC must keep in mind the festivals before announcing the schedule," he said. Likewise, SAD's Arshdeep Singh Kaler thanked the Election Commission for deferring the polls and slammed the Punjab Government for not raising the issue with the ECI earlier.
