Amritsar, May 4: Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport, Amritsar, Punjab, is crying for attention. Travellers claimed that there were no drinking water arrangements. Despite being an international airport, it lacks proper facilities. Core areas are plagued by mosquitoes and pigeons. Thousands of travellers visit Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport, Amritsar, Punjab, on a daily basis. In the waiting area, chairs can be seen occupied by pigeons with dirt all over. Moreover, there is not even a single dedicated place for drinking water. On the other hand, shops selling water bottles are taking exorbitant prices. We spend thousand of rupees to travel by air only to find disappointment at the airport. The airport authorities have failed to make proper arrangements," said a passenger. Another passenger said, "There are no food stalls, and water is being sold costly. The airport authorities should pay attention. There are higher chances of bird strikes, which can lead to a serious accident. The administrate must act before it is too late."
