What's happening in Hathras? Now, a 4-year-old raped
Hathras rape case: In a shocking incident, a 4-year-old minor was allegedly raped by her relative in Sasni town, Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday.
According to the information, the police informed that the accused has been arrested. The Circle Officer, Ruchi Gupta, said that a case has been registered in Sasni rape case.
Reportedly, the incident took place a month after a 19-year-old girl, a Dalit woman, was allegedly gang-raped by four men in Hathras. The victim was rushed to a hospital in Aligarh and later shifted to Delhi for want of better medical care.

The Hathras rape victim had succumbed to her injuries in hospital on September 29.
This incident triggered nationwide protests while the Allahabad High Court had taken suo motu cognizance of it.

The Allahabad High Court held a hearing in the Hathras rape case on Monday where it lashed out at the police and district administration for cremating the woman’s body at night.
The court also said that the act was an “infringement” of her human rights. The victim was at least entitled to decent cremation as per the religious customs and rituals which were supposed to be performed by her family, the court observed.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government had recommended the investigation to be transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Likewise, the request was accepted by the Union Home Ministry and hence CBI took over the probe into the Hathras rape case.
On Tuesday, a team of CBI visited the spot investigating Hathras rape case where the victim of the alleged gang-rape was cremated on September 30. The agency had collected samples from the spot as a part of the agency’s ongoing probe.
