Washington, April 3: Even after repenting and apologising for his actions at the recently held 94th Academy Awards ceremony, actor Will Smith's career appears to have come to a halt. According to the Hollywood Reporter, at least a couple of films signed by Will Smith as the lead actor, for the time being, have been suspended. Recently, Netflix put a hold on Smith's upcoming thriller film 'Fast and Loose' which was announced in July last year. As per the reports obtained by the outlet also revealed that another streaming giant Sony has also hit the pause on Smith's much-awaited project 'Bad Boys 4'. Director David Leitch reportedly walked away from the movie weeks before the 2022 Oscars ceremony, opting to work on the Ryan Gosling vehicle 'Fall Guy' for Universal, and now the streaming giant has opted to move away from the film, Variety reported. According to reports obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, he has other Sony-related films, either as a producer or as an actor, that may be halted. Among these projects are sequels to 'Hancock' and 'Karate Kid.' For the unversed, Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, days after he slapped comedian Chris Rock onstage at the Oscars. According to TMZ, his resignation means he can't vote for others, but he can still be nominated and attend future Oscars ceremonies. Smith has previously apologised to the academy as well as to Rock. Smith was named Best Actor at the Oscars a few minutes after the incident.
