Canada deports Punjabi youth on extortion charges, release photograph seeking public help
PTC News Desk: Canada has deported a Punjabi youth accused of involvement in extortion-related criminal activity. The Canadian police has released a photograph of the accused appealed to the public to provide information on his associates and activities during his stay in the country.
The accused, Lovebir, 22 was identified in early 2026 as a suspect in extortion-linked crimes. Singh, a foreign national, had been in Canada since the fall of 2023.
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) said it made Lovebir’s photo public after deciding that releasing it was necessary to aid ongoing investigations. Officials hope the disclosure will encourage witnesses, victims, or anyone connected to share information about his alleged activities and the criminal networks involved in violent extortion in the area.
Anyone with relevant information can contact SPS at 604-599-0502, the Surrey Extortion Tip Line at 236-485-5149, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or through www.solvecrime.ca
for those who wish to remain anonymous.
A reward of up to $250,000 is being offered through the Surrey Extortion Reward Fund, set up in September 2025, for information that leads to charges and convictions in extortion-related cases.
