Firing at Indian-origin businessman Jasvir Dhesi's home in Brampton, Bishnoi gang claims responsibility
PTC News Desk: Notorious gangster Goldy Dhillon, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has claimed he was behind a shooting outside the home of Canada-based businessman Jasvir Dhesi in Brampton.
The firing happened on January 12 and was caught on camera, circulating widely online. The video shows a man running on an icy surface while shooting towards Dhesi’s house. No one was injured.
Dhillon posted on social media saying: “I am Goldy Dhillon of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. I take responsibility for the shooting at Jasvir Dhesi’s house in Ontario on 12/01/2026. Dhesi supports our enemies. Anyone who goes against us will face the same result.” This comes as the Bishnoi network continues to claim involvement in violent incidents across Canada, even though the group is officially labelled a terrorist organisation there.
Dhillon has also earlier claimed responsibility for other shootings, including one at comedian Kapil Sharma’s café in Canada. Authorities confirmed he has taken responsibility for this latest attack as well.
Meanwhile, in India, another gang member, Goldy Brar, had claimed responsibility last year for a shooting outside actor Disha Patani’s home, alleging her family insulted Sanatana Dharma and two Hindu saints — Premanand Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj.
A related social media post also warned the film industry and ended with “Jai Shri Ram.”
