Good news for Indians: Good news for Indian passport holders as they can enjoy visa-free access or visa-on-arrival facilities in Malaysia now.
Malaysia will begin granting visa-free entry to Chinese and Indian citizens for stays of up to 30 days from December 1.
The announcement of the good news of Indians has been made by Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim made the announcement during a speech at his People’s Justice Party’s annual congress in Putrajaya. Though this is the good news for Indians but Anwar Ibrahim did not make any statement regarding the visa exemption period.
Malaysia's fourth and fifth largest source markets are China and India, respectively.
According to the reports and data, Malaysia witness 9.16 million tourist arrivals between January and June of this year- 498,540 from China and 283,885 from India.
Prior to the pandemic, 1.5 million Chinese visitors and 354,486 Indian visitors arrived in the same period in 2019.
