Israel-Hamas Conflict: Israeli security forces bombs Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif father's house
Israel-Hamas Conflict: If reports are to be believed, Israeli security forces bombed the house of the father of Mohammed Deif, the head of Hamas's military wing, who is believed to be the key plotter of the terror attacks, The Times of Israel reported. The reports claim that several of his family members, including his father, brother and children, were killed in Khan Yunis.
The moniker "the cat with nine lives" has been bestowed upon Mohammed Deif due to his astonishing resilience. He has remarkably survived five Israeli assassination attempts, often sustaining severe injuries. Tragically, his wife, seven-month-old son, and three-year-old daughter fell victim to an Israeli airstrike in 2014.
Rarely seen in public or unmasked, Deif remains a mysterious figure. He abstains from using modern digital technologies such as smartphones.
On a significant note, during a major and unprecedented rocket attack on Israel by Hamas on Saturday, Mohammed Deif's voice was purportedly heard in a video message. In the recording, Hamas attributed the attack to the 16-year blockade in Gaza. Deif, known for his infrequent public addresses, declared, "Today the rage of Al Aqsa, the rage of our people and nation is exploding. Our mujahedeen (fighters), today is your day to make this criminal understand that his time has ended."
