Italy bus mishap: In a horrific, unfortunate and tragic incident, children among 21 killed, several injured after passenger bus carrying Italians and foreigners fell off a bridge in Mestre, Italy, near Venice.
According to the sources, the bus travelling from Venice to nearby Marghera was full of passengers returning home from work.
The mishap unfolded when bus broke through a barrier and plunged from the bridge in the district of Mestre, which is connected to Venice by a bridge.

The visuals of Italy bus mishap showed that the passenger bus completely went off the road, it flew off the bridge.
The tragic accident unfolded at about 19:45 (17:45 GMT) on the overpass of a road that leads from Mestre to Marghera and the A4 motorway.
The bus broke through a wall of the overpass, falling between a warehouse and the tracks of the Mestre station below.
Chief of Staff of the Prefecture of Venice Francesco Martino told media sources that 18 people were also injured in the crash and that authorities were still trying to determine what caused it.
Expressing grief over the Italy bus mishap, Venice's Mayor Luigi Brugnaro posted on X, formerly known as Twitter and wrote, "It's an apocalyptic scene. I am speechless."
The investigation is underway.
