Passenger plane that crashed in Afghanistan not Indian: DGCA
A passenger plane has reportedly crashed in Badakhshan province, with many casualties feared.
According to the local police spokesperson, the crash had taken place overnight in a remote, mountainous region of Badakhshan in Afghanistan's far north.
He stated that there were no confirmed details regarding the type of plane, the cause of the crash, or the number of casualties.

Some reports claimed that an Indian passenger plane crashed in northern Afghanistan. However, DGCA officials have confirmed this is not an Indian plane.
According to a senior Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) official, the plane that crashed was a Moroccan-registered DF 10 aircraft.
Other reports indicate that the plane was en route to Moscow.
