PTC News Desk: The Maldives president Mohamed Muizzu announced on Saturday that the second batch of Indian military personnel manning a helicopter gifted by India had left the island nation.

Muizzu, a pro-China leader, announced the withdrawal of India's second military force from the Maldives during a campaign gathering for the ruling People's National Congress party candidates ahead of the April 21 legislative elections.

"The first team has already left. The soldiers on the second platform were also withdrawn on April 9, according to Muizzu.

Earlier this month, Muizzu stated that the second batch of Indian military personnel in charge of operating the aviation platform in the Maldives would be withdrawn in April, with the entire process completed by May 10.
