Nashville school shooting: Three students among six killed; shooter dead
Tennessee (US), March 27: At least six people, including three students, were killed in a shooting incident on Monday at a Nashville elementary school in the US.
According to The Washington Post, the police stated that the young female shooter is also dead.
According to reports, the suspect had entered the school building through a side door entrance and was confronted on the second floor and killed by the Nashville Police.
The female shooter had two “assault-style” rifles and a pistol.
The shooting occurred at The Covenant School, and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department stated in a tweet that the suspect was killed.
The Nashville Fire Department tweeted that they had rushed to the scene and that there were "multiple patients." It was not stated whether any victims were killed or how many were injured.

"An active shooter event has taken place at Covenant School, Covenant Presbyterian Church, on Burton Hills Dr The shooter was engaged by MNPD and is dead," authorities tweeted.
According to the school's website, the Covenant School is a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Nashville with approximately 200 students. According to WTVF-TV, the school serves preschool through sixth grades and held an active shooter training programme in 2022.
