Washington: Sikh couple dies after being hit by distracted driver in Kent
PTC Web Desk: A Sikh couple, identified as Parminder Singh Bajwa and Harpreet Kaur, died after after being hit by a distracted driver in Kent, a suburb of Washington city, the authorities have said. The incident took place when the couple was on its way to to pick up kids from a school bus stop. They died on the spot.
As per the Washington State Patrol said, Parminder Singh Bajwa and wife Harpreet Kaur fell victim to distracted driving. The driver was reaching for his cellphone when the incident took place.
The distracted driver was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
As per information reaching here all expenses would be taken care of by the Sikh Riders Motorcycle Group of Washington and the funeral service of the couple would be held on Friday.
The couple is survived by two children aged five and eight.
