Hema Malini pens sweet note, shares throwback pictures for her mother
PTC News Desk: Veteran actor turned politician Hema Malini on Wednesday took to Instagram to pen a sweet wish for her mother Jaya Chakravarthy on her birth anniversary.
The actor shared a video of the snapshots with her mother on the social media platform. "Today is so special for me! It is my darling mother's janam din-a day I celebrate every year ever since she left me. I introspect so much on this day, recalling how much she has contributed to my life & career & how I owe her everything I am today, Thank you Amma. My love always," she captioned the post.
It shows a montage of monochrome pictures of Jaya.
Throwback photos of Hema with her mother were also included in the video.
Hema had a special bond with her mother. The actress thanked her mother in the post, saying she owes her everything.
In response to Hema's post, Esha Deol, an actress, used the heart and folding hands emoji.
The veteran actor, also known as Dream Girl, has had numerous hits in Bollywood.
The actress made her acting debut in the Tamil film Idhu Sathiyam in 1963 and her Hindi film debut in Sapno Ka Saudagar in 1968. She was most recently seen in Shimla Mirchi (2020), in which she co-starred with Rajkummar Rao and Rakul Preet Singh.
Hema is a politician as well. She was elected to the Mathura Lok Sabha seat on a BJP ticket for two consecutive terms in 2014 and 2019. She previously served in the Rajya Sabha.
