Bihar-Delhi bus collides with car on Yamuna Expressway in Mathura; 5 dead
PTC News Desk: Five individuals tragically perished on Monday morning following a collision between a car and a passenger bus on the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
The devastating accident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Mahawan area of Mathura. According to Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Dubey, a sleeper coach bus carrying 40 passengers collided with a car, resulting in the deaths of five individuals who were charred to death. The collision led to a horrific scenario where the car, a Swift Dzire, collided with the bus from behind. Subsequently, a fire erupted in the bus upon hitting a divider.

Although all passengers on the bus managed to escape safely, those traveling in the car were unable to do so and were burnt alive inside the vehicle. The bus was en route from Bihar to Delhi at the time of the accident. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences for the victims and instructed officials in Mathura to provide appropriate assistance to the families affected by the tragedy.
