Jammu and Kashmir: Terrorists employing China-made weapons in attacks on Army, say sources

Jammu and Kashmir, December 26: Intelligence reports reveal terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir are utilising Chinese-made weaponry and technology to launch assaults on the Indian Army. According to sources, groups like JeM and Lashkar-e-Taiba have been employing an array of Chinese arms, body cameras, and communication gear in their attacks on the military.

The proliferation of Chinese drones, grenades, and weaponry to the Pakistani army is also noted, with evidence pointing to their use by terrorist factions in recent Jammu assaults.

This year, three significant terror strikes unveiled this nefarious nexus. Utilizing sniper guns crafted from Chinese tech, Pakistan targeted Indian soldiers along the Jammu border, exemplifying the alliance between Chinese technology and cross-border attacks. Intelligence agencies further disclose that encrypted communication devices favored by terrorists are of Chinese origin, aiding in their covert exchanges.

China's motive appears to redirect Indian Army focus by reigniting unrest in Jammu and Kashmir post the 2020 Galwan Valley standoff. Strengthening Pakistan's cyber capabilities, China aims to bolster clandestine monitoring through Voice Over Internet Protocol and backs the establishment of cyber warfare hubs in Pakistan.

Despite China's persistent weapon supplies to Pakistan, India's security forces have effectively countered these attempts, thwarting terrorism both in Jammu and Ladakh.

Deadly ambush in Poonch

Heavily-armed terrorists carried out a lethal ambush in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, resulting in the tragic loss of four soldiers' lives, with two others sustaining injuries on Thursday.

The Army, responding to this terrorist assault, is preparing to deploy additional troops to fortify the Poonch-Rajouri sector. Sources reveal an imminent reinforcement of the counter-terrorism grid in the region, intending to bolster security by augmenting troop numbers.
