While seven times gold medalist Indian men suffered a shock 23-24 defeat at hands of Korea in Kabaddi in a pool game, Indian women continued their winning spree defeating Thailand 33-23 for their second successive win in the sport. India's medal hopes on Monday hinged on performance of its athletes in shooting and wrestling. The shooters did not disappoint. Two silver medals, both in men's section, kept India alive on the medals tally, adding to a silver and a bronze of yesterday. It was Deepak Kumar who with his second finish gave India its first Silver medal of the Games with an individual score of  247.7 in Air Pistol 10 m individual competition. His teammate Ravi Kumar missed the bronze in elimination and finished fourth. In the Trap event for men, Lakshay gave India its second Silver medal of the day while Manavjit Singh Sandhu finished fourth. In other tea m events, India's worst came in men's kabaddi as Korea defeated the undefeated Indians ever since the sport was introduced in the Games. India's 23-24 defeat, the first ever, must have shaken the defending champions out of their slumber. Over confident Indians were to blame themselves for the defeat as they trailed throughout the game without ever getting into their elements. The verdict must have given the team a lots for introspection as the competition is gettiing tougher in a sport in which Indians reigned supreme till now. In the women's section, Thailand put up a gallant fight before going down 23-33. In basketball, Indian women suffered a humiliating 54-104 defeat at hands of unified Korean team.
