28-year-old molested at Sec 36 Fragrance Garden, Chandigarh A 28-year-old girl, who had gone for a morning walk at Fragrance Garden in Sector 36, was molested by an unknown person on Sunday at 4:30 am. The victim saved herself by kicking the accused, who managed to escape from the spot. Police sources said the victim was walking on the track when a person caught hold of her from the rear side. “The accused caught the victim tightly and tried to push her out of the track apparently to take her towards the corner,” said a police official. A police official said there were no CCTV cameras near the entry to the park. The sources said since the victim did not see the accused, she could not provide a description about him. Acting on her complaint, a case of attempt to rape has been registered against an unknown person at the Sector 36 police station. -PTC News
