3 civilians including a teenager die as security forces fire after stone-pelting Three civilians died as the army allegedly fired at protesters during a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Kulgam district, Kashmir on Saturday morning. The deceased have been identified as -22-year-old Shakir Ahmad, 20-year-old Irshad Majid and 16-year-old Andleeb. While, around six people have been injured among which three succumbed to their injuries on way to the hospital. A hospital source in Frisal area, near Redwini, confirmed that three people were brought dead to the hospital. “People came out soon after the army entered and started pelting the army with stones,” a local source said, adding that the army opened indiscriminate fire in response. A police officer said, “We are ascertaining details. As per preliminary information, some miscreants indiscriminately pelted a  patrol party of the Army with stones at Hawoora Mishipora and the army fired some shots,” he said. -PTC News
