550th Gurpurab Celebrations: SGPC President writes to Punjab CM to nominate two members for joint committees
Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC) President Bhai Gobind Singh Longowal on Thursday has written a letter to Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to nominate two members for the joint Committee being formed on the orders of Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib Sahib for a joint celebration of 550th Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
In his letter, he has informed the Punjab CM that the SGPC has planned a series of programs for 550th Gurpurab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He said that as the Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib has ordered a common celebration and formation of a joint committee consisting of members of the SGPC, nominees of the Punjab Government and a scholar, the Punjab Government should nominate its members at the earliest for smooth conduct of programs.
