6 Africans attacked in Delhi over child kidnapping rumours, rescued
Six African nationals were attacked on Thursday night in Delhi amid rumours that they were involved in child kidnapping. More than two hundred people gathered outside the building where some of the Tanzanian and Nigerian nationals live. The police reached the spot and four Tanzanian and two Nigerian nationals were rescued from Kakrola in Dwarka. Also, they dispersed the crowd. The Delhi police told the media sources that it was not a racial attack. As soon as police received the call, it rushed to the site of the incident. It dispersed the crowd and rescued two Tanzanian women. The police further maintained that the crowd had gathered because the kidnapping rumours were making rounds. It was all a hoax call.
