Akal Takht Jathedar Endorses Demand of Sirsa to celebrate Children’s Day in name of Sahibzadas
The Delhi MLA and Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa's move to celebrate Children's Day in the name of the Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh ji got a shot in the arm when Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Singh Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh not only endorsed his proposal but also declared that sikh clergy will meet at Sri Akal Takht Sahib to decide the date of celebration of Children's Day in name of Sahibzadas. Addressing sangat at the opening of dispensary at Singh Sabha in Rajouri Garden area here Giani Gurbachan Singh said that there is no parallel in world history on the sacrifice of sahibzadas for the sake of the nation and humanity. He said that not only Children's Day but infact Mother's day should also be celebrated in the name of Mata Sahib Kaur ji. On the occasion Giani Gurbachan Singh also lauded efforts of the Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa in getting Hookah banned in Delhi. Thanking for his support for the public cause, Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that he was thankful to people of Delhi who have always supported his public welfare moves and also expressed confidence that in future too his initiatives will be wholeheartedly supported by the people. -PTC News
