Amid rising Covid cases, night curfew back from 11pm to 5 am
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the imposition of statewide night curfew from 11 pm to 5 am from December 25 amid the rising cases of Covid-19 in several states.
Besides night curfew, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also directed the officials concerned to put a limit on the number of people attending events such as marriages to 200. Those attending such gatherings would have to adhere to Covid-19 guidelines. The organisers would have to inform the local authorities about these.

All traders across the state had been old to follow "no mask, no goods" policy at their establishments to check the spread of Covid-19, the UP Chief Minister added.
Yogi Adityanath has asked the officials to ensure that people arriving in Uttar Pradesh from other states or abroad are traced and tested for Covid-19, and extra vigilance is maintained on buses, railway stations and airports.

The UP CM said that in view of the possibility of a third wave of Covid-19, the state had made systematic preparations in the past that needed to be re-examined. Facilities available at all government and private medical institutions of the state should be examined closely, and the Covid help desk and the day care centre in industrial units should be activated, he said. Currently, the situation in the state is under control.
