3 arrested with stolen two-wheelers in Jalandhar

On Friday, the Jalandhar police  has arrested three persons involved in vehicle thefts in Jalandhar. The police also recovered three stolen two-wheelers.

Police arrested the accused during the ongoing checking of vehicles near Perfect Chowk. The police recovered two Activa scooters and a Discover bike from their possession. All the vehicles were without a number plate.

The police has arrested Ranjit Singh, a resident of Kalia Colony; Suraj Kumar, a resident of Banaras in Uttar Pradesh; and Prabhjot Singh, a resident of Reru Pind.

Briefing the media, police said that the suspects were professional criminals. They have stolen a number of vehicles from the city and in neighbouring areas. They started lifting vehicles to earn money. And with their arrest police is hopeful to solve more cases of theft and vehicle lifting.

Jalandhar 3 arrested with stolen two-wheelers in Jalandhar

A case under Sections 379, 380 and 457 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against suspects.
