4 Naxals killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh

Four Naxals were gunned down in an encounter between security forces and Naxals in Chattisgarh on Tuesday morning.

Acting on a credible input, the CRPF’s Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) cordoned off the forest area near Karkanguda village. It launched a search operation, following which the Naxals started firing at them leading to the gunfight. It took place near Bimapuram area of Jagargunda village in Sukma district.

The security forces recovered four bodies in Naxals uniform after the encounter ended. It also recovered one INSAS and two 303 rifles during the search operation.
