5 military personnel died and another injured as an IAF helicopter crashed

Five military personnel died and one was injured as an Indian Air Force helicopter crashed. The incident took place near Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh on Friday morning. The crash happened closed to the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the de facto boundary between India and China. Mi-17 V5 helicopter crashed near a small military outpost at Chuna in north-western Arunachal as per sources. The chopper was carrying four IAF men, including two pilots of the Russian built twin-engined helicopter. Two personnel were from the Army Supply Corps. The chopper had gone to drop supplies to the outpost. -PTC News
