Chandigarh, April 29: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab has initiated the process of replicating mohalla clinics in the state. According to reports, mohalla clinics will be set up in all 117 Assembly constituencies.

On Thursday, the Health and Family Welfare Department directed civil surgeons in all districts to find space for mohalla clinics.

The department has asked the Civil Surgeons to contact the respective MLAs to identify the location for these clinics. They have further been directed to submit details related to the name of the selected place/building and the rent amount by May 1. If the building is not available, the officials concerned have been asked to look for vacant land to set up the mohalla clinic.
