Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has earned widespread appreciation for his portrayal of Pakistani police officer Chaudhry Aslam in Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge. His performance has been garnering much appreciation from the audience nationwide.  Now, real life SP Aslam's wife Naureen Aslam has also shared her thoughts on the same.

Naureen Aslam, the late officer’s wife, recently shared her thoughts on the film during a podcast. Reflecting on the experience, she revealed that certain moments in the film felt uncannily real. In particular, she highlighted a scene where Sanjay Dutt stands near a car and lifts his gaze, saying it briefly felt as though she was watching her husband himself on screen.

Speaking candidly, Naureen also opened up about the emotional weight of revisiting painful memories. She noted that the film’s depiction of Chaudhry Aslam’s death closely mirrors what actually happened. According to her, the portrayal of the suicide car bombing that killed him is not tempered but accurate.

While she praised Sanjay Dutt’s performance, Naureen expressed mixed feelings about the overall portrayal of her husband’s life. She felt the film did not fully capture the depth and complexity of his character. She pointed out that the filmmakers could have consulted her, along with police officials or journalists, to better represent both the strengths and struggles of Chaudhry Aslam. Highlighting his contributions, she said that he underwent tasks that many others in law enforcement could not do.

Naureen Aslam also recalled a personal detail, sharing that her husband had once predicted that a film would be made about his life after his death a statement that now feels poignant in retrospect.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Akshaye Khanna. Released in theatres on March 19, the film has been a massive commercial success. It surpassed the lifetime earnings of its predecessor within the first week and continues to perform exceptionally well, crossing Rs 900 crore in Indian box office and over Rs 1,400 crore worldwide.
