IPL 2020: Ajinkya Rahane moves to Delhi Capitals

The right-handed batsman Ajinkya Rahane who used to play for Rajasthan Royals will now move to the Delhi Capitals, for the 2020 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). The most-capped player was the skipper of Rajasthan team in the 2018 edition. As per media reports, Prithvi Shaw is expected to be traded to Rajasthan.

Meanwhile, RR's all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham has been traded to Kings XI Punjab, while KXIP fast bowler Ankit Rajpoot will play for Rajasthan. Also, Rajasthan's fast bowler Dhawan Kulkarni has moved to Mumbai Indians, along with Delhi Capitals' Trent Boult. With Boult and Kulkarni, the pace-attack of Mumbai Indians becomes more lethal.

Delhi Capitals ended up at third position in the points table of IPL 2019. With Ajinkya Rahane onboard the team is expected to climb more, in the upcoming edition.

The auction for Indian Premier League 2020 is scheduled to be conducted in December 2019, at Kolkata. This is for the first time, that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has selected a new venue for the auctions.
