PTC Web Desk: Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya's stepbrother, Vaibhav Pandya, has been arrested by the Mumbai Police on charges of cheating the two cricketers of approximately Rs 4.3 crore. The alleged fraud involved Vaibhav diverting Pandya funds from the partnership firm he ran with the Pandya brothers, leading to a loss for them. The three had established the business in 2021, with Hardik Pandya and Krunal each set to receive 40% of the profits, while Vaibhav would get 20%. However, Vaibhav is accused of forming a separate company and siphoning funds from the business to it.

Following a complaint filed by Hardik, the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police charged Vaibhav with cheating and forgery.

Hardik has also been in the spotlight due to his recent appointment as captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI), replacing Rohit Sharma. This decision was met with backlash from fans, and Hardik's captaincy tenure began on a tough note, with MI losing their first three matches. However, the team's recent victory against the Delhi Capitals offered some relief to Hardik and MI.

After the match, Hardik acknowledged that it took significant effort and adjustments within the team to secure their first win of the campaign. He stressed the importance of aligning strategies, intentions, and teamwork in achieving success. Despite the earlier setbacks, Hardik Pandya expressed confidence that the win against Delhi Capitals marks the beginning of a positive turnaround for the Mumbai Indians.
