PTC News Desk: Panic gripped residents of Chandigarh after several schools on Tuesday received bomb threat via email. The threatening mail was received as the students arrive at the school on the first day after summer vacation. The incident triggered an alarm among school officials, who immediately informed the police.

Police teams, bomb disposal squads, and sniffer dog units quickly reached the affected schools and carried out thorough searches of the entire premises.

As a precaution, security measures were tightened and all necessary safety protocols were implemented. Reports said that no suspicious object was found in any of the schools.

Similar Threats Received Earlier

It is worth noting that several schools and other institutions in Chandigarh have received similar threat emails in the past. In those cases as well, police conducted extensive search operations for several hours but did not find any explosives or suspicious materials.

While preliminary investigations in most of those incidents later revealed the threats to be hoaxes, security agencies continue to treat every threat seriously and take appropriate action.
