Four-year-old suffers serious burn injuries as grandmother pours boiling water for splashing colour on her

PTC News Desk: In a tragic incident, a woman poured boiling water on her four-year-old grandson after she was enraged over him spraying paint on her while playing holi. The boy has sustained serious burn injuries. The incident unfolded in Maharashtra's Nagpur district.
CCTV footage shows a boy playing by splashing water on a woman, identified as Sindhu Thackeray, who was carrying a bucket of hot water. Enraged over the child’s behaviour, the woman allegedly poured the entire bucket of hot water over him.
The video then shows the boy writhing in pain. It also captures another woman nearby pouring normal water on him in an attempt to cool the burns.
According to police, the child suffered 45 per cent burns below his waist. The visuals have since gone viral on social media, triggering widespread outrage and demands for strict action against the woman. The child has been admitted to a hospital, and police have started the process of registering a case against her.
