Panchkula: School bus with 20 children onboard loses control, rams into parked vehicles; investigation underway
PTC News Desk: A school bus belonging to Chitkara School lost control and crashed into four cars parked along the roadside in Panchkula's Sector 26 on Tuesday morning. Around 20 children were on board the bus at the time of the accident. Fortunately, none of the children were injured and all are safe.
According to eyewitnesses, local residents gathered at the spot after the collision. People whose vehicles were damaged caught hold of the bus driver and expressed their anger over the incident. Police from Chandimandir police station reached the scene soon after receiving information about the accident.
Following the crash, the school management safely evacuated the children from the bus and arranged another vehicle for their transportation.
The bus driver said he lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid a car coming from the opposite direction, causing the bus to hit the parked cars.
Chandimandir police station SHO Rampal said a police team reached the spot after receiving information about the accident. He added that action will be taken according to the law based on complaints received from the public. He confirmed that all the children are safe and no injuries have been reported.
