Congress announces Nari Nyay Guarantee: Checkout five key promises

PTC Web Desk: In a significant move in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge has unveiled the 'Nari Nyay Guarantee' initiative, presenting a comprehensive agenda to uplift women across the nation. The initiative comprises five key announcements aimed at addressing various aspects of women's empowerment and rights.

Under the 'Mahalaxmi Guarantee,' Congress pledges to provide financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh per annum to one woman from every economically disadvantaged family. Additionally, the 'Aadhi Aabadi Poora Haq' initiative ensures that women will have rightful access to half of the new recruitments at the Central Government level.

The 'Shakti Ka Sammaan' aspect of the initiative entails doubling the Central Government's contribution to the monthly income of crucial frontline workers such as Anganwadi, ASHA, and midday meal workers. The 'Adhikar Maitri' initiative promises to appoint paralegals in every panchayat to raise awareness among women regarding their rights and provide assistance.

Lastly, under the 'Savitribai Phule Hostel' initiative of 'Nari Nyay Guarantee', the Congress commiting to constructing at least one hostel for working women in each district headquarters, with a plan to double the number of such hostels nationwide.
