Stray dog attack:  In a deeply disturbing incident, an eight-year-old girl lost her life after being brutally attacked by a pack of stray dogs at Kharal Khurd village, falling under the Tanda Urmur block of Hoshiarpur district.

The victim, identified as Saloni, had stepped out of her house around 8 am on Wednesday morning when the attack occurred. According to initial reports, a group of stray dogs surrounded the child on and mauled her severely.

Family members launched a search when she did not return home, only to find her grievously injured body lying on the road. By the time she was rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors declared her brought dead. Officials stated that the injuries inflicted by the dogs were fatal.

The police have initiated further investigation.
