Punjab Police bust interstate illegal weapon smuggling racket, recover 20 pistols

Chandigarh, December 7: In a major success, Punjab Police on Wednesday busted an interstate illegal weapon smuggling racket operating from Madhya Pradesh.

Giving information, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav tweeted, "@RupnagarPolice has busted an interstate illegal weapon smuggling racket operating from #MadhyaPradesh."

Police have recovered 20 pistols along with 40 magazines. An FIR has been registered and further investigation is underway.

"Stern action will be taken against all involved in illegal weapon networks. Punjab police is 100 percent committed as per the vision of CM Bhagwant Mann," the DGP further said.
