Punjab CM launches Punjabi language version of 'Koo App'

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Friday launched Punjabi language version of 'Koo App'; a micro-blog in Indian languages.

Koo is an alternative app to Twitter, built for Indians in order to be able to share their views using Indian languages. This website and app won the Aatma Nirbhar innovation challenge and is a Made in India service as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

How do you use Koo?

The character limit for a 'Koo' is 400. One can sign up for Koo using their mobile number. Users have the option of linking their Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter feed to the Koo profile as well. One can also post audio or video-based posts.

Aprameya Radhakrishna Mayank Bidawatka. As of May 2021, it is valued at over $100 million. Koo, India's alternative to Twitter Inc., has surged past 10 million users to narrow the gap with the US microblogging site after its repeated clashes with government over the past few months.

Koo, the 'Made in India' Twitter rival, has been officially launched in Nigeria. On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has urged people to download the app for authentic and relevant information.
