Punjab government is likely to declare December 1, 2017 a holiday

The Punjab government is likely to declare December 1, 2017 as a holiday to commemorate installation of 'murti' (idol) of Bhagwan Valmik at Ram Tirath Temple in Amritsar. The installation was done on December 1, 2016 .

It is learnt  that CM Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh has proposed to declare December 1 as holiday. The formal orders may be issued on  November 30, 2017 .
