Stones hurled at Mehbooba Mufti’s motorcade in Jammu and Kashmir
An angry mob pelted stones at People Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti's cavalcade in South Kashmir on Monday. She escaped the attack unscathed while one of her escort vehicles was damaged. The driver of the damaged vehicle was injured.

Stones hurled at Mehbooba Mufti’s motorcade in Jammu and Kashmir
According to media sources, Mehbooba Mufti was scheduled to address a rally in Anantnag Lok Sabha Constituency. She paid obeisance at Khiram shrine and was on the way to the venue when the angry mob targeted her motorcade with stones. The attack took place so suddenly that the security forces accompanying the motorcade were unable to react.

A heavy contingent of armed forces rushed to the spot. It provided a safe passage to the former Chief Minister. Police also reached the spot and started an investigation to arrest the attackers.
