Swiggy delivery agent shoots dead restaurant owner in Greater Noida

In a shocking incident reported from Greater Noida, near Delhi, a delivery agent of Swiggy allegedly shot dead a restaurant owner over the delay in his order.

As per information available, the delivery agent reached the restaurant in Greater Noida to collect an order late Tuesday evening. The delivery agent was reportedly told that some items from the order would take a little time.

Following the delay, an argument broke out between the two. The delivery agent allegedly abused the restaurant employee.

When the owner of the restaurant tried to intervene, the delivery agent with the help of one of his accomplices shot him in the head. The restaurant owner was taken to hospital, where he was declared as brought dead. A case has been registered and the police are scrutinising CCTV footage from the area. Further investigations are on.
