SYL Row: Supreme Court
Chandigarh: The Supreme Court today gave its verdict on the SYL issue. The court directed the Punjab government to start the construction of SYL as soon as possible.
SC asked the Punjab government to discuss the water issue later. Speaking further, it said that there is no point stretching this issue.
Additionally, Favouring construction of SYL canal, SC told Haryana to not organize any "Dharnas". No one is allowed to disturb the peace of the nation.
Adding further, SC asked both the states to sort out the matter in a peaceful manner.
