Coimbatore: In a major incident, at least five persons dead following the collision between a car and a truck near Sulur in Coimbatore Urban district of Tamil Nadu, on Saturday morning. The accident took place in the morning, where a car rammed into a truck, which resulted in the on-spot death of five people. The car was crushed after it struck with the truck.

The accident took place on National Highway 47 in Tamil Nadu. The identification of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. The road accidents these days are rising day by day and most of them take place due to the negligence of drivers who lose controls and strikes it to the other vehicle.

Recently, seven members of a family died on the spot in Uttar Pradesh, on Friday. The car collided with a bus on the Pilibhit-Bareilly highway which took seven lives.
