Tragedy Strikes In Amritsar: Teens Die In Live-In Couple’s Suicide Attempt
Mystery shrouds mass suicide attempt that left two dead and two others in a hospital struggling for their life on Tuesday in Bahadur Hussain village in Amritsar. Jaswinder Singh was living with Nargis and her two children. They all tried to attempt suicide by consuming a poisonous substance.

Tragedy Strikes In Amritsar: Teens Die In 'Live-In Couple’s' Suicide Attempt
At around 6 am, police control room received a message about a family for four consuming some poisonous substance. The police rushed to the spot. It found two children in their teens dead and two adults wriggling in pain. They were rushed to a nearby hospital. The teens were identified as Happy (17) and Rahul (14), Nargis’s children.

Briefing the media, Batala Senior Superintendent of Police O S Ghumman said that Jaswinder and Nargis were in a live-in relationship. Nargis’s husband died a few years ago. Happy and Rahul were from her first marriage. Jaswinder had deserted his wife and three children.

According to media reports, the immediate relatives of Jaswinder and Nargis were not happy with their relationship.
