IPL Auction 2024: Pat Cummins' record barely lasted an hour as Mitchell Starc became the costliest player ever in the history of the Indian Premier League with a Rs 24.75 crore bid from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Cummins set the record for the most expensive player in Indian Premier League history when Sunrisers Hyderabad offered a whopping 20.5 crore for the Australia captain at the IPL auction 2024 in Dubai.
Cummins was dethroned by none other than his Australia teammate Mitchell Starc, who lived up to the hype by trading for a whopping 24.75 crore to Kolkata Knight Riders. This is Starc's second stint with the two-time IPL champions, having previously represented them in 2015.
