Trending now: No big followers needed: New platform promises earnings for micro creators
Programme is open to micro and nano influencers, making it accessible to creators with limited reach
PTC Web Desk: E-commerce major Meesho has introduced ‘Meesho Creator Club’, a new programme designed to help content creators and social media influencers earn money from their online content without making any initial investment.
Under this initiative, creators can work directly with Meesho sellers by producing short videos featuring products available on the platform. These videos can be posted on popular social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Creators stand to earn commission of up to 25 per cent on purchases made through their content.
The company said participation in the Creator Club does not depend on having a large follower base. The programme is open to micro and nano influencers, making it accessible to creators with limited reach.
Meesho highlighted that creators from Tier-3 and Tier-4 cities can also benefit, offering income opportunities to individuals who have traditionally found it difficult to collaborate with major brands.
According to Meesho, creators joining the programme will gain access to real-time analytics, allowing them to monitor content performance and understand sales trends.
To speed up earnings, the company has introduced weekly commission payouts, removing the need for long settlement cycles.
Meesho said the initiative delivered strong results during its pilot run in 2024, with content-led commerce resulting in a threefold rise in order volumes. The company added that the programme reached 14.5 million users within a year, leading to its full-scale launch.
Meesho believes the Creator Club will provide creators with a direct and sustainable monetisation pathway, particularly benefiting those based outside large urban centres.
