Two LeT-backed TRF terrorists killed in Kulgam encounter

Kulgam: Two terrorists affiliated with proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba's (LeT) frontal affiliate The Resistance Front (TRF) were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district on Tuesday, said the police.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police said both terrorists were involved in several terror crimes. "One more terrorist killed (total 2). Both killed terrorists are locals and linked with proscribed #terror outfit LeT/TRF. They were involved in several terror crimes," the Kashmir Zone Police quoted Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir.

An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Kulgam district earlier on Wednesday.

On Monday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police neutralised Salim Parrey, a dreaded terrorist of proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in the the Shalimar area of Srinagar. The Jammu and Kashmir Police said incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition, was recovered.
