Smriti Irani Coronavirus: Union Minister Smriti Irani on Wednesday announced that she has been tested positive for COVID-19.
The Union Minister took to Twitter and informed the public regarding the same.

"It is rare for me to search for words while making an announcement; hence here’s me keeping it simple — I’ve tested positive for COVID-19 and would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest," Irani tweeted.
Irani is the latest to join the list of politicians who tested positive for COVID-19.

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, late President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and others tested positive for the novel virus.
After Smriti Irani tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19), people started extending recovery wishes to the Union Minister.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari tweeted: "I pray for your speedy recovery Irani ji."
A user wrote: "Oh no.. Take care Ma’am. Sending you prayers and best wishes. Hope you recover soon..."
"Hope you come out strong and understand the plight of a common man. Keeping it simple just for your benefit to your own Agenda will not help the Poor farmers and common man.. They don’t have access to infrastructure as you might be," wrote another.
